Students of New City and Palm Avenue Primary School, Mushin, Lagos were thrilled to receive the Staff of Cakasa Nigeria Company and Cakasa Ebenezer Foundation on Friday June 4, 2021 to commemorate the 2021 Childrenās Day Celebration.
This year’s children day celebration is the first after the Covid-19 pandemic. The significant problems faced by children during these times were closure of schools, social distancing, lack of physical exercise and outdoor activities, exposure to lengthy hours of internet and cell phone usage as a result of online classes had created difficulty in readapting after the pandemic.
As a way to ameliorate the effects of the lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic; Cakasa Ebenezer Foundation childrenās day event was aimed at providing psycho-social support towards enabling the children function better in school and reduce the amount of anxiety created by the long school closure.
The Staff of Cakasa Nigeria Company and other Volunteers joined in the celebration and engaged the children through the provision of scholastic games and psycho-social support.
The Childrenās Day program was held in the school premise at 32, Palm Avenue and was witnessed by representatives from Cakasa Nigeria Company, Students and Teachers of the school.
