CEF kits a child in Mushin in 2021

There was excitement on Thursday 18th February 2021 at the Palm Avenue Primary School located at No 32, Palm Avenue, Mushin, Lagos State, when Cakasa Nigeria Company (CNC) through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm Cakasa Ebenezer Foundation (CEF) empowered the pupils of the school with a pair of school uniform under the Kit a Child Project Phase 2. One Hundred and Sixty (160) uniforms were given out by CEF to pupils in the lower and upper primary classes of Palm Avenue Primary School under Phase 2 of the project.  As part of CEF’s intervention to provide support and access to education at all levels, thereby increasing enrollment rates in schools in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 4 of Quality Education. The disbursements of the school uniforms was done by volunteers of CEF to the students in the school premises.

School children delighted by CEF fun on Children’s Day

Students of New City and Palm Avenue Primary School, Mushin, Lagos were thrilled to receive the Staff of Cakasa Nigeria Company and Cakasa Ebenezer Foundation on Friday June 4, 2021 to commemorate the 2021 Children’s Day Celebration. This year’s children day celebration is the first after the Covid-19 pandemic. The significant problems faced by children during these times were closure of schools, social distancing, lack of physical exercise and outdoor activities, exposure to lengthy hours of internet and cell phone usage as a result of online classes had created difficulty in readapting after the pandemic. As a way to ameliorate the effects of the lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic; Cakasa Ebenezer Foundation children’s day event was aimed at providing psycho-social support towards enabling the children function better in school and reduce the amount of anxiety created by the long school closure.  The Staff of Cakasa Nigeria Company and other Volunteers joined in the celebration and engaged the children through the provision of scholastic games and psycho-social support. The Children’s Day program was held in the school premise at 32, Palm Avenue and was witnessed by representatives from Cakasa Nigeria Company, Students and Teachers of the school.

There was joy and gratitude on the faces of the students and teachers of New City and Palm Avenue Primary Schools located at No 32, Palm Avenue, Mushin Lagos on Friday 18th December 2020 when volunteers of Cakasa Ebenezer Foundation (CEF) visited them. The Staff of Cakasa Nigeria Company (CNC) and Cakasa Ebenezer Foundation with their friends provided the funding for this intervention. Meals were provided for the school children.
